Stock market investment course

In this first lesson of the Stock Market Investment Course, students will learn what financial markets are and which agents are involved in them. We will review the role played by each of the financial institutions, the different investors that we can find, as well as the different products that are currently available, from the most conservative savings products to derivatives and how these are used by large institutions such as Deutsche Bank to leverage the market. The session will end with an analysis of the current demographic and social situation, and the importance of managing our savings for retirement. Whether through professional managers, self-management or by investing in savings and retirement plans.

Once in lesson 1 we have determined what markets are and who is involved in them, it is time to learn about the different ways in which the market moves and how to trade in them. We will distinguish and define what is spot trading, what is credit trading and the risks involved in each operation. In this way, we will have the knowledge to understand the differences between long and short trading and to know what securities lending is and how it influences speculation and liquidity of assets. We will conclude the session with practical examples of how to calculate the size of positions in products that are traded in batches such as Forex, commodities and stock indices.

This will be the first of three technical analysis sessions in which students will learn how to read and analyse charts on their own using the basic elements of technical analysis. In this session you will learn the differences between line charts, bar charts and candlestick charts. We will delve deeper into the candlestick charts as they provide the most information about the evolution of the price during each session. We will finish the session by applying everything we have seen up to this point on a demo platform, where the student will learn about the types of orders that can be placed in the market, both entry and exit. In this way they will understand that even without being in front of the computer they can program Stop Loss so that if their operations go wrong, they can cut their losses. Or, if the price reaches the target level, you can execute an exit from the market, Take Profit, to collect the estimated profits.

In the second technical analysis lesson, once you understand what charts are and how prices move, we will determine the differences between technical and fundamental analysis. Subsequently, the student will learn the main technical analysis figures so that he/she will be able to replicate them on the demo platform. We will finish the class determining the inefficiencies and traps of the market such as the Gaps and the false breakouts of critical points, with the aim of being aware that trading is not an exact science and that any signal that the market gives us can turn against us, so we will highlight the importance of having a good risk management in each operation that is made in the market, so that you can learn to trade efficiently.

The third session of technical analysis will provide the student with the necessary knowledge for the use of indicators. We will explain how to insert indicators into charts, what they are, what they measure and how to interpret them. In this way we will broaden the knowledge and tools that a trader or investor will have to analyse the market before making decisions. We will teach you how the market interprets these signals and how they are usually interpreted by most beginner investors, so that you will understand the mass movement that occurs in the markets when certain indicators are used.

In this session the student will understand the concept of diversification and realise the importance of it in order to reduce the costs. They will also learn how to control the level of risk per operation and collective of the operations. We will teach you how to place stop losses according to the risk we want to assume and the volatility of the asset. Learning to invest in the stock market means knowing how to be in control. We will end the session by explaining the importance of controlling our emotions, the difference between trading demo accounts and real accounts, and how important it is to keep a record of all the trades and targets we set for entry and exit.

This lesson will explain what cryptocurrencies are and how to deal with them from a speculative or investment point of view. We will also talk about the risks associated, not only with this asset, but also with the platforms that trade with it, whether for investment or speculation, we assume the lowest possible risks in a market that is already risky in itself. We will introduce the concept of market capitalisation as a real indicator of cryptocurrency price expectations.

During this session we will talk to our expert of news trading on macroeconomic events, so that he can explain and show us the pros and cons of this trading, how this activity is developed and the results it is bringing him. To do so, we will learn how to filter and use the economic calendar.
